So I've made a little more progress on my character, I think the next phase is to build a low-poly body to rig and test to see if everything is kosher with the proportions. Just to make sure there is no kinks in the deformation. I want to make sure the proportions I have are adequate to make sure that when I build the clothes I don't have any major adjustments I need to make to body itself!

I wanted to show progress on my MERC model so I am showcasing the base framework upon which it will be built. As you will notice it still has the blank slate non-descript face. I find it's better to build the nude body first and then build the clothes around it, I think its wierd that some people wouldn't but it seems to me if artists have been doing it that way for thousands of years, you shouldn't do it any other way!
